Kensington Calgary is technically a shopping and cultural district rather than its own official community, it spans the real communities of Sunnyside and Hillhurst, with Westmount close by. That distinction rarely matters to anyone who lives there: everyone just calls it Kensington, and it's one of the most walkable, character-filled corners of the inner city.
The Kensington Road and 10th Street strip is lined with independent cafes, bookstores, and boutiques, connected to downtown by the Peace Bridge, the Louise Bridge, and the Sunnyside CTrain station.
